When in Quartzsite, Drive Your RV Like You Would at Home

Ask anybody who’s been in Quartzsite for a little while, they’ll tell you, it seems like many of the snowbirds got their driver licenses at K-Mart. Here’s a good example:

Highway 95, the major north-south arterial through town. Snowbird sees visitor center next to highway. Snowbird too lazy to pull rig into parking lot, so simply parks it in the middle of the traffic lane and bails out. Local cop finds empty motorhome blocking highway. NOT a happy officer.

After pacing back and forth by the open motorhome door waiting for someone to show, the officer finally went into the visitor center–and very rapidly hustled a red-faced snow bird back to her rig. Can you say traffic ticket?
